I happened on this delightful country pub when hiking the borders. I had my best evening here after 16 days of hiking. Run professionally by landlady Jane. Lots of Cider choices, friendly locals, a welcome fire as the evening began to cool. I was able to camp in the garden which was handy for the outside gents which are always open. Jane doesn't do food at any time, but this didn't bother me as I had camping food.
Good atmosphere. friendly stuff
A step back in time with welcoming locals it's a must visit truly enjoyed a fab evening ๐ well done to the landlady ๐
Fantastic place. Stayed here in a caravan a few times over the years and allways found it very welcoming. Popped in for a few pints also and it is allways a great atmosphere and VERY friendly. Well done Jane๐keep it up๐
A proper pub with an eclectic mix of locals and those that find the pub by chance. Timeless and the better for that.
