We had a short bed and breakfast stay over the Remembrance weekend and we were not disappointed one little bit. The room was comfortable and quiet and the breakfasts were first rate and very filling. Sarah and Dave couldn’t do enough to make us feel most welcome (and the pub locals were friendly also). Whilst we were there we had an evening meal and a Sunday lunch which were both cooked to perfection and reasonably priced. We would definitely recommend this place for a stay and are actively checking the diary to see when we will be back. Thank you Royal Oak Gladestry.
Fabulous pub with probably the friendliest bar maid. Small menu but amazing quality with the best home made chips. Loved it
Fantastic gem of a pub by the border. We visited for the pub quiz while on holiday and the landlady and locals were a great laugh. Good selection of ales and spirits. Dogs welcomed and a pool table!
Absolutely gorgeous rooms — spacious and high-spec. The bed in the Oak suite was one of the most comfy I’ve ever slept in! Our family spent several nights in the both rooms, with young children, and we couldn’t be made to feel more welcome by Sarah. The continental breakfast was plentiful and cooked breakfast great too. Couldn’t recommend more highly and we will be returning!
Great little pub. Friendly relaxed atmosphere. Service was really good. We had a Sunday roast which was amazing. Loads of meat... Veg was all nicely cooked.
