Very nice people that run it. Old traditional pub.

Lovely to meet Megan on Sunday, classic pub, great beer and atmosphere. Nice fire too.

A quiet country pub set just off the main road between Derby and Wirksworth. The pub is in an attractive eighteenth century building and serves very well kept draught Bass. A lovely place for either a winter's evening with its open fire or a summer's afternoon in the garden. Opening times can vary a little and a lack of customers may result in early closing but overall this is a very pleasant setting for a good, traditional pint of English ale.

- Bass or Pedigree - only ales available - Cash only - Very much a "this is a local pub for local people'" feel - Whilst I admire that the landlord has maintained a classic feel/format, as a passing visitor it was not really to my taste. Nor was it particularly welcoming. - However, the what was served was decent enough (not that I particularly like Bass or Pedigree), and it's clean and tidy pub.
