Out of the World and into Borgue
Welcome to Borgue hotel, Martin, Michelle and Luke invite you to stay with them in the stunning Stewartry coastal village of Borgue.
On holiday at Coo Palace This is our closest public bar and it is a good one. Best Caledonian bitter is a tasty pint. Do they still serve a pint of heavy, I wonder?
Great little gem of a place. Every Time we have been the food has been fantastic. Lovely owners and great service too. A hidden gem
Went for lunch with wife and two kids, 10 and 12, and we were made to feel so welcome. Nice sandwiches, soup and chips. Can't comment on rooms but I can only imagine you'd have an amazing stay. We hope to stay there if we come back to the area
We are staying up the road at the Coo Palace, the staff of which recommended this venue for its bar. They serve Sulwath Ales which my husband likes, particularly "Criffel". They also free the local craft Galloway gin, Sky Garden, a delightfully smooth gin that goes extremely well with a simple Indian tonic and ice which suits me well. The couple who own the hotel are charming and funny. Michelle does most of the catering herself I believe although we have not eaten there. It's certainly a great pub but I can't speak for the accommodation. We intend to return there for a drink this evening.
Very warm and welcoming atmosphere in the bar area. Excellent service and good choice of mains and desserts. All really well cooked and great value. Wish we had found it earlier.
