About us

We're centrally located within the heart of the town, next to West Quay shopping centre. On our doorstep we've got a taxi rank, bus stops for the major routes and we're approximately 200m away from the train station.

We pride ourselves on being able to accommodate all ages and all needs.

During the daytime, we offer a plush (but easy-going) atmosphere, with a vibrant lunchtime trade, or an easy venue to chill, meet, eat and drink, with Sky and BT sports on our two big screens and 11 plasmas.

By night, Yates becomes one of the best late-night venues in the area. We have something for everyone across the week, from quids-in Thursday and huge party nights on Friday and Saturday, plus the biggest pub quiz in Southampton on Sunday evenings. We have amazing resident DJs, plus a sound system and lighting rig envied by many. We are by far the best sports bar in Southampton with our Two 16ft BIG screen!.

What a place! Amazing from the moment we walked in. So warm and welcoming. The fish and chips and burgers we had was delicious. Highly recommended. Charlie was amazing and so was Charlene. There new happy hour kept us in for alot longer but what do you expect for £2.50 for a moretti. If you get a chance come here and check out what they have to offer.

Wondered into Yates the other day after a lil bit of shopping in town! Haven't heard much of this place as I don't leave my house too much but I was greeted by a lovely ginger chap with a beard who suggested a lovely pint too me. Honestly haven't met someone who loved the NFL as much as I do and I can't wait to come back and see the lovely bar staff! Just booked myself into the superbowl too!! Would recommend to anyone!!

Amazing pub. The staff were super helpful, especially Chris. The food was delicious, great selection of drinks and an amazing atmosphere to watch the football. Can't recommend it more will definitely be coming back soon.

Had a lovely time at Yates Southampton yesterday. The customer service was excellent, incredibly attentive and kind people there. As usual, the food was lovely and arrived very quickly, perfect for a quick stop-off. Would like to mention Chris and Gemma who were both so helpful with recommending what food to have with my dietary requirements. Wonderful experience!
