About us

About Us

The Yacht Inn has a fully licensed bar serving a range of lagers, real ales, spirits and wines.

The bar area is traditionally decorated in an art deco style, in line with the style of the Penzance Art Deco quarter, with many interesting marine-themed artefacts decorating the walls and ceilings.

There is a large beer garden at the rear of the building, perfect for enjoying a cold beer in the sun.

The Yacht Inn has a well deserved reputation for serving excellent food. All our ingredients are locally-sourced with delicious sea food straight off the boat in nearby Newlyn.

We have a varied menu including vegetarian and children’s selections as well as a seasonal specials board, all prepared to the highest standards by our experienced chef.

We also cater for private functions from small weddings and christenings to anniversaries and birthday celebrations.

Food is served all week from noon to 8pm and from 6pm in the evenings.

Due to the weather and possible cancellations of sailing to the Isles of Scilly, it’s best to call The Yacht to book a room.

Beautiful Art Deco pub; shame that any features of the period seem to have gone. Sunday carvery ok, that's all I can think of to say about it....

Admittedly it was a long day from the Scillies, planes cancelled ect, so not in best of mood when entered pub. But women behind bar was more interested in serving her few customers beer than checking us in, very rude, room was horrible and cold, she didn't want to know about the heating. Left at 7 next morning to pick up car, thanks to the Dolphin next door for meal, which was fully booked.

Dropped in for the Sunday Roast lunch. The food was well cooked with a wide range of vegetables, condiments, gravy etc on offer as a self serve carvery.

This is a review of the pub, but the hoek. This place is a cosy pub with ample seating both inside and out. At the time of my visit they had two ales on tap, both from the nearby St Austell brewery. I confess I have not tried the food here.

Lovely, friendly staff. We were running late and not sure if we would get anywhere to eat when finally arriving. Rang ahead and the staff kindly prepared sandwiches and snacks for us. Much appreciated when we did arrive. Room very clean and as advertised on the website. Enjoyed a lovely couple of hours in the bar, the barmaid was very friendly and welcoming. Great atmosphere. Thankyou.
