Welcome
We think that our pub, Worsley Old Hall, in Worsley on the northern side of Manchester, is something a bit special: it is probably best described as being a country house pub, nothing else quite seems to fit the bill.
Although the building is on an impressive scale, it is not a grand place. You'll find a large curved bar right at the heart of the building, with lots of nooks and crannies round and about, open fires for those who prefer to tuck themselves away, and plenty of busier rooms for those who enjoy a happy buzz about the place. There really is nowhere else quite like it....and on a sunny day outside, with views across the golf course, it is quite special (although we do say so ourselves).

Words to describe: dog friendly, cosy, warm, nice atmosphere, service timely, good options for both food and drinks.
A gastro-pub that relies on the neighbours (both in the surrounding area and the hotel next-door, which it is unconnected to) for most of its trade. It's a beautiful old building with a massive beer-garden and plenty of space inside, too (but it is advisable to book a table for food). The food is divine, and come in at just under £10 for the starters and often just under £20 for the mains. While some staples remain, the menu is revised daily. I've pretty much eaten my way through the menu, and there was nothing that was below par. There's a good selection of drinks (including non- alcoholic options, which is gadget as there is a large car park) Front of house staff are attentive and polite, although you get the impression that for some it is a stop-gap whilst waiting for sobering better to come up. Some are friendly and chatty, but should perhaps take more care about what they say (regaling patrons about how hungover they are following the night before is not to everyone's liking!). Seasonal specials (pigs in blankets, mulled wine, and -yes- Christmas trees) are available, too, at this time of year..
10/10 Sunday roast. Great portion size, great service especially our waiter Jordan. Delicious deserts, and the wine went down a treat. Cozy setting ✨️ 😌
British pub! Our dishes were really nice, very friendly staff, cozy atmosphere,! We really enjoy our dinner.
Had a great Sunday roast here! Great service and a beautiful building full of character. Good range or drinks available too. 4 stars simply because parking is an absolute nightmare with lack of adequate spaces and cars parked along the grass verge etc.
