Cosy nice looking pub but food was very sub par. 2 of our group had burgers which they said were nice, but 5 of us had Sunday roast (1pm) and it was really underwhelming. Stated as served 'pink', the beef was more well done and tough. The roasties were bland and soft, and the gravy was tasteless. The only thing that tasted of anything were the carrots and pea/leek mix. How you can charge ยฃ4.75 for cauli cheese as an extra is absolute robbery, especially when itโ€™s a tiny portion, was basically boiled cauliflower with the smallest amount of cheese, and no sauce or seasoning. Shouldnโ€™t still feel hungry after paying17.95. Wonโ€™t be returning for a roast. But a nice pub.

Lovely looking pub. Beautifully decorated. Plenty of parking. Dog friendly. They don't accept cash so make sure you have a card on you. Food was OK but expensive for the small portion sizes. (I'm not the first to comment on this I note). Staff were pleasant but the service was very slow. Waited some considerable time for food to arrive, dishes weren't cleared for a good 20 minutes after we stacked them up as a hint. We were asked if we wanted dessert (which we did). No dessert menus were forthcoming so we had to approach a staff member near the bar to fetch them ourselves. We also had to ask twice for the bill. Haven't eaten here for a while and it never used to be like this.. think it's changed hands and is now owned by a brewery. Staff issues could be easily addressed by the new owners. ( Just a little more attention to detail needed).

We tried coming before on a Sunday afternoon without a reservstiom and it was packed so make sure you make a reservation for Sundays! We ended up coming on a Friday or Saturday night I believe. We ordered the fish and chips, and those were probably the biggest ones I had ever seen in my life. We were not able to finish all the food! Love the big open space in the back and how there is an outdoor play area for the kids.

Great campervan stopover! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜€ Fabulous pub and restaurant with all of it's quirky features! We would still visit this place even if we weren't travelling back to the Midlands from our Cornwall trip! We chose the Steak & Tangle Foot Ale Pie with mash, it was beautiful! It didn't look much on the plate but I was stuffed and I have a big appetite! ๐Ÿ˜‹ Very polite and professional staff ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ˜Š This place has got FIVE STARS from Nigel and Claire! All the best, see you again! ๐Ÿ˜Š

This is a large pub, but it is subdivided into small areas which provide a more cosy atmosphere. The staff are friendly and helpful. The menu is impressive. There is a large car park and dogs are welcome.
