Lovely stay. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Hotel is full of character , lovely real fire in reception very welcoming on a cold winters day Will definitely be returning
Now quite "tired" but about to be refurbished by the new owners. Overpriced at £378 for 2 nights B&B plus drinks and one dinner for two people at £117 making a total of almost £500........Not good value for a mid-week break in the middle of November.
What a great hotel, food and service were really excellent. The hotel decor is very traditional but nice. Location perfect. I would highly recommend. All the staff were great but Paige in the restaurant was exceptional.
Overall, enjoyed our five night stay. Council decided to dig up road right outside our window the day we arrived and were filling-in day we left. Hotel must have known and should have told us. Only other issue was (samey) restricted dinner menu for veggies (had dinner package). Otherwise, all good and would consider revisit....
We found this Williams bar by accident. We were Greeted warmly by the staff. The place only had a few people in and a dog. Everyone got talking to each other which made it feel welcoming. We ordered Drinks and the Blonde was amazing. We ordered the schnitzel and they were succulent. We enjoyed the whole experience that we came back for another meal tonight and had the Fish and chips. Again that was filling.
