You will be assured of a warm and friendly welcome when you visit The Woolpack, the original set used in Emmerdale for 20 years before moving to a purpose built set.
This lovely traditional country pub has to be the most famous ‘working’ pub in the country, as it is the original Emmerdale Woolpack and the only ‘soap’ pub where you can actually get a drink.
It has a well-stocked bar and fine cask ales, and a tasty menu with plenty of choices for all appetites and budgets.
The outside of the building provides a great photo opportunity and the inside is adorned with pictures of cast members, both present and past, providing a real trip down memory lane.
The exterior and interior were also used to film Ashley's emotional episode when he was suffering from dementia, which was broadcast on 20th December. It won the 'best single episode' in the Soap Awards.
The village of Esholt is also extremely picturesque and there is nothing better than to sit at the front of the pub on a nice day with a drink and soak up the atmosphere.

Beautiful little countryside pub, friendly staff with a good atmosphere, food was good, its definitely worth a visit if in you're the area.
The woolpack pub is a great place with very friendly staff. They have all the cast members photos all over the walls. Nice food also Anne walker

Rang ahead to book a meal and asked if we could stay over in their car park in our campervan, wasn't a problem. Had a lovely meal, there was live music and the atmosphere was terrific. Very quiet and peaceful nights sleep. Staff were amazing, so friendly and had us in stitches. Had a fantastic night. Thank you Woolpack 😁
Absolutely brilliant!!! stayed the night in our camper ...food was fantastic, atmosphere was brilliant the landlords James and David are caring and fun best experience of our holiday thank you so much...Parma violet gin rules!!!
