A first rate traditional tavern with a very welcoming atmosphere. You could easily spend a few hours in here enjoying a drink a socialising. I would certainly highly recommend a visit.
The best. Beer, owners and staff, barms, courtyard and a wonderfully refurbished ex-stable block. I still have a problem with them not allowing children in as I have a wonderful, well behaved granddaughter who is known to folk in there.
First visit back to the woodman in years. After which it will become our goto on our town walks. Great ale choices, lovely garden sitting area and fantastic friendly staff. Spot on!
Friendly, welcoming local with great beer. Really great beer. Best kept beer in the town. Wood fires burning if it is chilly out, two beautiful courtyard gardens at the back full of flowers.
What an amazing place. The landlord could not have been more welcoming or helpful. If you like real ale / a good pint, a clean, welcoming pub, this is a must. Why have I not been here sooner!
