We are a family friendly community pub hidden away. We offer great value for money and our best selling ale, Theakston's XB is just £2.30 per pint. We have a large carpark and have hosted many weddings, birthdays, Christenings and funerals. We also have a secure garden and childrens play area with a trampoline. We have events on during the year many for charitable causes. We have our own Karaoke system and disco. We also cater for larger parties, menu's developed to suit the occasion.
Key pad on door so only those in the know were obviously being admitted. ALL doors closed, but about 50 people inside. I'd travelled up from London to visit as it's in the CAMRA good beer guide, but I won't bother again.
Not the best staff was friendly enough but the place itself is a mess needs a lot of TLC from the outside it looks terrible, weeds all over the place dirty Brocken windows, just not very inviting
Proper local boozer, no frills or gimmicks, it's clean and tidy with good beer, for decent money, hosts are friendly, no loud music so you can have a conversation if you want one
Great lil village pub has become my local. Brill staff bettany and Rob are awesome
Not been in for years but Friday night and there's karaoke.. Great night was had by all definitely go again friendly owner and bar staff and very reasonable prices..
