Large group Christmas meal: great food and service. Well-organised and efficient throughout with a good, friendly local pub atmosphere. Good selection of ales, wines, and spirits.
arrived 2:15pm on thursday, only had a few customers. they are doing special offer 2 meals for £15 lunch during the week. we ordered fish and chips, and steak pie. borh meals were tasty. no complaint. we also ordered a mixed grill. it was a large meaty dish.
After redecoration this pub has lost its friendliness. Dark grey walls are depressing. A bit rowdy, sound carries all around the pub from the rhs of the pub. Didn't have a meal, did not feel comfortable. One pub where open plan doesn't work.
We had a lovely Sunday dinner. Food was great staff very nice and friendly. Would definitely recommend we are going back for sure. Been back lots and as always beautiful food thanks to all of the lovely staff
Staff was friendly. Understood I had hard of hearing, reasonable priced food but great quality of it as well. Meals were absolutely brilliant and would recommend if you love pub food. Adequate amount of parking, not sure about free WiFi but can't hurt to ask. There a garden outside to sit in though it was slinging rain that day.
