The “Wills” can be found at the junction on Deer Hill Road and Blackmoorfoot Road in the shadow of Meltham Cop and nestling in the foothills of the Pennines. The Wills is situated close to the nature reserve of Blackmoorfoot Reservoir and is ideal for Birdwatchers, Walkers, Cyclists and Visitors to enjoy Good Food, Cask Marque Accredited Beers and Fine Wines in the warmth of our open fires. Popped in for a Sunday Roast after a day out. A lovely welcoming fire roaring in the bar area, but tables by it were busy so sat elsewhere in the bar area, which is dog friendly. Ordered a drink and food, which came fairly quickly. Food nice and tasty.
Well what can I say it was absolutely stunning, table of 4, poached salmon, mushroom risotto, corn beef pie and a beautiful pheasant and cranberry pie all very exquisite and good value for money, waiter and waitress was very attentive and a warm welcoming atmosphere!! The best food iv ever tasted!! Will be back again for some more grub!!!

My friend and I had a wonderful 2 course Sunday Meal with drinks and it came to just over £30 which was extremely reasonable. The food was delicious and well portioned and the service and attention we received was spot on. We'll be back !
Quite a basic Sunday roast. Boiled vegetables, not a decent portion of meat (almost more stuffing than there was meat), overdone Yorkshire pudding. Boiled new potatoes lacked anything in terms of seasoning. Roast potatoes were not terrible but nothing good either. Had tried to show someone visiting a good traditional Sunday roast but just left feeling like no effort was put into making the food taste of anything, just feel it gave a poor example of a good Sunday roast to the visitor. Won't go again.
