About us

William was known as The Sailor King having served in the Navy in the years before his reign. There are plenty of nautical decorations throughout the pub and hotel. Our Clarence room also pays tribute to William’s time as Duke of Clarence and the Nelson Room marks his friendship with Admiral Horatio Nelson.

Our passion is food and hospitality and you’ll find this from the minute you walk through the door. As a completely independent business, we are proud to feature small producers on our wine list and local suppliers on our menu. We are always bringing exciting new dishes and drinks as the season dictates.

The star of the show for us is our delicious Sunday Roast, served on a large family platter in our garden or by the roaring fire; it’s the perfect family meal, time to spend together with a pint of real ale or a warming Malbec. Booking in advance is highly recommended.

Famous for our signature fish and chips and our fresh, seasonal menu, our pub and guesthouse is the perfect spot for lunch, dinner, or a relaxing night’s sleep.

Looking for a function room? We’re ideally situated near West London Crematorium and Kensal Green Cemetery, Kensal Green underground station and Kensal Rise station. We can help organise your engagement, wake, retirement or birthday.

Check out our fabulous Dorothy’s Gin Garden for our delicious cocktails. It’s our best kept secret garden.

Pub and Function Room decorated to a high standard (didn't stay or see any of the guest bedrooms). The service and food was excellent, the barman who looked after our party was friendly and professional. Would definitely recommend this venue - really pleased with every aspect of the booking. Thank you to all staff for looking after us.

The William Pub Lovely atmosphere and recently refurbished to a high standard. Cosy family friendly interior design, and it's nice and clean. The food was great, we ordered nearly the whole side/starter menu to taste a bit of most things and the flavours were delicious, came within good timing of each other and all served hot regardless of dish. Main highlight for me was that its Dog friendly and they greeted me offering my little pup a bowl of fresh water ! I've heard good things about this place and really look forward to coming back. Thank you!

The pub is lovely on the outside and has a lot of space and a really nice garden in the back. The inside is fine, but still a bit off — it's not bad, but it just feels transient, not like a cosy neighbourhood pub. This isn't because of the people but the way it is set up (with little decor to insulate)with leaves it feeling cold and empty even with people there. The tables are diner/cafe style and it feels more like a dining hall than a pub. I think if they were to make the entrance a drinks area (barstools by the bar, more standing cocktail tables) and move the "dining area" to the left with booths and pub-style tables, it would work better. The room on the right could be a cosy dining area or a place for drinks. If they added some artwork/decor, it would feel more intimate and echo less. It's not bad but it just didn't feel like the warm, welcoming place we had hoped. Will definitely go back and try the food — it's not a write off at all, but it isn't there yet. It should be said the staff were very kind and the drinks were good.

The pub with its recently changed ownership have been extremely unprofessional and cancelled a private hire event for our daughter’s 1st birthday without any notice, despite taking our deposit. If we hadn’t gone in to see them about planning the final details, we would not have heard from them. It’s understandable if renovations get delayed but some form of communication would have been appreciated, or the booking should not have been accepted in the first place. Shocking management but this is no reflection on the staff who are attentive. Thankfully, there is the Parlour just round the corner and we dodged a bullet here.

Went to check out the new ownership and wasn’t disappointed. The place has been given a much needed spruce up. Really good atmosphere and super friendly staff. The menu was really interesting and well thought through- something for everyone and the food was delicious- really decent portions - small plates ideal for sharing. I loved the cod cheeks with curry sauce and the smashed cucumber salad. A great addition to the area. Will be back soon
