You will find The White Lion in Covent Garden London within a short stroll of Covent Garden Tube, Long Acre and Floral Street - however you won't find another like it.
The White Lion is at the heart of the Covent Garden district. While its origins and history date to Victorian times, our pub has mirrored the wider changes of the area. Our regulars were once exclusively locals and market traders. Now we welcome local office types, tourists and party-goers, and we're also a favourite with musicians from the nearby Royal Opera House.
This gem of a place is worth a visit! The restaurant is upstairs and have a beautiful view out to the street. The waitress was so kind and warm-hearted. My wife didn't know what beer to order for her turkey pie, so the waitress came with samples, alone this is excellent service. We both had pies, and they were delicious. So all and all, this was an amazing experience 😊
Okay food in a beautiful upstairs dining room with views of the busy street below. This alone is worth a visit. Service is also friendly and accommodating to requests. Tried their lamb shank pie and found it to be quite bland. Wouldn’t order again. Their halloumi fries were really good and their festive bread pudding was decent.
Very good pub. Typical, nice place and super services. Excellent fish and chips and chicken pie. Price ok
Splendid, authentic and vivid pub. This pub has become a guarantee for me and I can’t believe it’s in one of the most touristic places in London, Covent Garden. You must try their pies, all of them are exquisite. My fav is the slow-cooked Beef rib, shin & pulled brisket pie followed right after by the Steak&Nicholson Pale Ale Pie. The dining area upstair is leap in to the past. A mention of merit goes to the excellent service
Since our lunch had the fish and chips and so lots reviews had said the pies are awesome too hence we had it!!! Yes, it’s taste amazingly delicious!!!! And glass of great white, love it! Hopefully got the chance to back again for the fish & chips! ❤️
