Sunday lunch at a great price and 2 size options for adults. Saturday evening meal was also good and decently priced. Pub full of friendly local characters. Worth stopping if you're on the A303 near Andover or need an over night stay.

Roast dinner was fantastic. Pork belly was tender and the cracking was amazing. The vegetables tasted so fresh! Claire who is in charge I can only assume was brilliant with us. Attentive, friendly and nothing too much of an ask. A top notch member of staff!

I booked a table for 4 for the 29th December and I did this a month before. It was a very special reunion. The table was booked for 7.45, I rang up on the night and asked if it was possible to book earlier and they said that was fine. We arrived and had a drink at the bar I asked if we could sit at our table and the answer was sit where you like as all the tables were empty. We sat for ages before anyone even came with a menu and when that arrived he told us there wasn't much left on the menu as the cook had walked out and they had an 80 person booking. So we ordered the vegetable Rolls and the last prawn starter. Being as we were the only people eating you would have thought an effort could have been made by the service staff to make sure that we were asked if we needed any drinks. My husband and I ordered the burgers which were disgusting Dry with a bit of uncooked bacon it looked like it had just been slapped on the plate. Now I was really upset the waitress finally came up and saw plates untouched she said she was embarrassed to come up. We did not pay for the burgers but paid £75 for the rest. They completely ruined our reunion not even the Manager or landlord came to apologise but just sat at the bar and left his waitress to deal with it. Why when we phoned to come earlier didn't they say about the cook walking out and having no food it's absolutely disgraceful way to conduct a business.

We recently had a lovely Sunday lunch here, was ideal for our family get together as it was a nice atmosphere and everyone was super friendly. The food was delicious and so much of it, great value for money! Claire was fantastic...friendly, helpful and nothing was too much of an ask - a great asset to your team! We shall be back again soon!

We came a few Sundays ago for a roast and it was the best roast dinner we ever had. Stunning food. So tasty, super hot plenty of veg options. The young barmaid was very friendly and attentive. Would go back again.
