My partner & I both had an excellent meal well prepared, cooked & all served properly hot. My partner chose the Sunday Roast with beef & they had a Gluten Free option, while I had the home made Fish Pie with a side order of Halloumi Fries. Everything was REALLY good & tasty with nothing left on either of our plates. The portions were generous enough that neither of us wanted a pudding. The only downside to the meal was that I was a bit envious of the Roasted Parsnips on my partner's plate & she didn't want to share.
The Elstead Inn is open again.. very nice people running the bar and restaurant.. now open 7 days a week...nice relaxing set up... they have good plans.. easy parking....24th October 2023. Andy
Lovely place to stop for a Sunday roast and a pint. Nice staff, good food, great garden. Will definitely come back when in the area.
Lovely country pubs, like this one, are suffering. The road outside was very quiet on a Thursday and so was the pub. Rosemarie, the landlady looked after us wonderfully. TEA and Dark Star beers on tap we're great and 4 of us all enjoyed the steak pie meals and deserts. A place like this needs people and with only 4 of us visiting, it cannot survive. Please go and admire the drawings and pictures too.
Whilst camping near by, me and my friends decided to try this place out for some food and Friday night drinks. We were warmly greeted and the food was gorgeous! The Landlady, Rosemary was an absolute star and her sidekick (didn't get his name) was hilarious! We were made to feel welcome from the start of our visit to the very end. Thank you so much for your hospitality and pop into our place to say hi if you are ever visiting Brighton 😊
