One of the oldest buildings in Brecon, recently refurbished and standing proudly in the town square overlooking the Duke of Wellington statue.
The Wellington Hotel is in the centre of the historic market town of Brecon, amid the rolling hills of the Brecon Beacons National Park. As one of the oldest buildings in Brecon, The Wellington’s beautiful Georgian façade looks over the town square and the monument of the Duke of Wellington himself.
Activities including canoeing, mountain biking and kayaking are available at Black Mountain Adventures. Horse riding and trekking can be found at Cantref Adventure Farm, while the town itself hosts the famous annual Brecon Jazz Festival and boasts the sights of Brecon Cathedral.
After a day of exploring you can enjoy a delicious meal from our menu full of great quality grills and traditional pub classics with a glass of fine wine or great quality beer.

The warmest of welcomes (by Janet) combined with great food , generous portions and very well kept ales . A smart, clean, comfy, classy and incredibly Dog friendly place to spend your time in Brecon.
Love this place. Super friendly service, very dog friendly and food excellent. We had lunch here on a visit to Brecon. Janet served us and could not have been more friendly and helpful. Jordan was the chef. We had the chicken sandwich and fish finger sandwich with some fries to share. All beautifully prepared and portions generous.
We visited to share a family celebration for my Grandson’s birthday. We were well looked after with great were from our server Sophie and all the staff were very nice. The food was great!
Having done some tabbing around Brecon for the 10 year anniversary of Craig Roberts passing, the lads and I decided to come here and carb load. Great food, good selection of drinks and the staff were very accommodating. Food got smashed and we shared some great laughs.
We would give a 4.5/5 stars. Service is awesome! Lots of options for food & drinks. We were pleasantly surprised. The ham hock was delicious. Pie of the day was cheddar & potato. Our server, Jacob, was very nice and took great care of us.
