The distinct sound of wildlife from the Rickmansworth Aquadrome heard from our garden provides us with one of the most unique settings to enjoy a quiet drink. Once widely regarded as one of Hertfortshire’s quintessentially beautiful traditional pubs & one of the oldest in the area, dating back to the 18th century, ‘The Waterside’ is rich in heritage & history.

Located in the charming village of Rickmansworth, The Waterside is conveniently located just off the M25 junction 17. Our restaurant is perfect for parties, romantic meals or even a relaxing drink to escape the hustle and bustle of commuting.

During your visit, customers can avail of free private car parking and enjoy the natural beauty of our two gardens and newly built, chic, ‘Oak Room’. Our menu offers an array of dishes from seafood, homemade pies, to top of the range succulent steaks cooked to your liking. We aim to provide excellent food, service and welcoming atmosphere, thus ensuring your visit meets your desired standards.

The Waterside has a strictly smart/casual dress code and alcohol is only available to those over 21. Sorry no Children after 7pm (Friday & Saturday evenings).

WE LOVE CONNOR AND KEVIN! We can't put into words how amazing it has been over the last year communicating with you both. Such a beautiful venue for our wedding. Everything went smoothly thanks to the team and we had sooooo many compliments on the venue and staff. We are sad to say goodbye but are now left with the most wonderful memories to look back on thank you you. All the love from us Ava & Anthony

So, being a wedding DJ, I was booked to do a wedding at the Waterside venue I was amazed at how beautiful it was inside and out. After talking with Conor and Kevin during my down time who run the waterside, they explained that you get exclusive use of the venue for the day and can get married in the meadow or inside which was lovely and they have spaces for drinks canopies, a meal and thankfully a disco lol . They clearly got Above & Beyond to make sure you have a great day and will work with you to ensure you have an amazing day. They have a list of preferred suppliers who know the venue so am hoping to get on that list as I really loved how they looked after the happy couple. I don’t think my pics do the venue justice so suggest you make contact and go for a visit to see for your self. Very happy to recommend

My son and daughter in law, Max & Victoria, were married at The Waterside Venue on a grey day in March…but this did not deter us from having a beautiful wedding! It may have been cold outside, but it was warm with love, fun and laughter inside! Kevin and Conor are AWESOME!!! They were so hospitable, patient and kind…nothing was too much trouble from the start of planning the wedding till the end. They made things very easy for us and went above and beyond…so accommodating and generous with their time and service which was faultless. What lovely memories we have of the Waterside….made even better by the hosts! The venue is gorgeous and very flexible to lots of ideas….the bride and groom were so happy as was all us family and friends! Thanks Conor, Kevin and staff at the Waterside! Simply the BEST!!! (and better than all the rest!!)

Conor and Kevin are great hosts, answering all questions promptly and being fantastic on the day of the wedding. The venue itself is beautiful and spacious, ample space for kids to explore and guests to not be on top of each other. It’s a real hidden gem and we’ve had so much positive feedback from friends and family.I would definitely recommend this venue.

The Waterside Venue is absolutely fantastic, and so are all the staff there, especially Kevin and Conor, who ensured our day was just as we wanted it. It's such a beautiful spot, with different spaces available to use happily whatever the weather (takes away a lot of worry with ever changing forecasts, which was hugely reassuring in the run up to our big day!). Kevin and Conor supported us with all our questions, and were so flexible and helpful with arrangements and adjustments, and ensured everything flowed smoothly on the day. All of our guests loved the friendly atmosphere, and complimented us on our choice of venue. Incredibly great value, and we are so glad that we chose to have our wedding party here, it truly was perfect!
