A big pub perfect for functions
A superb venue for lunch at a reasonable price. It has fantastic play facilities for children both inside and outside. The only downside is it is located on a narrow road but has a large car park.
Rooms were a reasonable size, clean and met our needs. Food was mediocre but fairly priced. That said, our breakfast was delicious. The facilities for the children were great with soft-play an outdoor park, animals, a swimming pool which were all free if staying. The service wasn't that great on the whole.although the older lady on the bar in the evening was lovely. We felt the lady in charge of the soft-play probably doesn't like children or people in general very much and that there were some quite unenthusiastic younger staff about the bar/reception/waiting. However, on the whole, our needs were met and the kids had a fabulous time.
Had group Christmas meal here today, 81 of us had a very good meal starter,main,dessert, and coffee or tea. Food is very good and high quality special mention to the leeks in sauce which were an unusual veg with a Christmas meal but very tasty. The meats, turkey, pork or duck were all perfectly cooked. Recommend the meringue delight as a dessert.
We try and go back as much as we possibly can. It's a bit of a drive but we'll worth it. If you haven't had the absolute pleasure of visiting this amazingly fantastic wonderful place yet then I suggest you get booking.asap! It's amazing how friendly the staff are you couldn't ask for more. Food is legendary.
We recently got Married at The Waie Inn and stayed for the weekend. It was such a wonderful weekend I couldn’t recommend it enough. The whole team there were all very friendly and helpful. All the help running up to the wedding was fantastic! Sue deserves a special mention as she had so much helpful advice, was happy to answer my many questions and was so lovely she made me feel at ease while planning, setting up and on the day! Food was amazing, we had afternoon tea and everyone has mentioned to me how wonderful the scones were! We also enjoyed a Sunday roast dinner which was just what we needed after the night before. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I really couldn’t have asked for a better weekend or more amazing wedding day!
