We found this lovely, welcoming pub today by accident (trying to avoid flood waters). Everyone and everything was excellent Dog friendly. Will definitely be back.
This is my new go to place, the staff are above and beyond!! I'm not a pizza fan, but this place makes pizza in an outdoor pizza oven, and it tastes amazing!! The sharing plate is very good from meats to sea food. Going back on Friday!! Can't wait.
Went here on a Sunday and had a fabulous roast pork batch with roast potatoes. They were doing a Sunday lunch such, but the food was really good. I only gave it 4 stars because the selection was limited, but I would definitely go back. The staff were so friendly and the atmosphere was great.
This great pub is a short walk from the Boat Lane camp site where I am. I arrived later than expected on Friday night. They had stopped serving food at 8pm. A lot of places do, so I was expecting that to be fair. But hoping for any type of bar snacks. The lady very kindly offered me pork pie and asked if I'd like some skinny fries with it. It's not something I would usually choose but, wow it was fantastic. Very nice place, and very friendly local people who made this Geordie feel very welcome.
I had the pleasure of visiting Neil's village pub, and I must say, it was an incredible experience! The pub's ambience was warm and inviting, creating the perfect atmosphere to enjoy some fantastic beer. Speaking of beer, they had an impressive selection of Blue Monkey beers that left my taste buds delighted. The highlight, however, was the friendly and attentive staff. Neil and his team went above and beyond to ensure every customer felt welcomed and taken care of. Their knowledge and passion for the brews they served added an extra touch of charm to the whole experience. If you're looking for a top-notch pub with amazing beer and outstanding service, Neil's village pub is the place to be. I can't wait to visit again and savour more of their delightful offerings. Cheers to Neil and his team for running such a gem of a pub!
