We came here for food with a pretty big order. There were certain orders missed, people were waiting for ages, even though we had pre-ordered. When enquired about ordering the ones they’ve missed out, they said they can’t make that. I’m wondering how are they going to accommodate for walk ins? I did not appreciate the very non hospitable behaviour for a hospitality business. Can very confidently say, they have guaranteed a non - returning customer.
Great Sunday roast - really good portion sizes which are definitely value for money. We had the large plate, and had gammon and pork & stuffing. Yorkies are huge! Veggies cooked to perfection. Staff & service were great, nothing was too much trouble at all. Will definitely be back and might try and squeeze pudding in next time!
We have previously been here and weren't very impressed by the food or staff. However they now have a new manager who was amazing and the food was fantastic. We had the small plate roast dinner which was delicious! The manager was very chatty, checked regularly that everything was okay and has definitely improved the atmosphere/vibe in the pub. We will definitely be going back 👍🏼
Never stayed overnight but if the B&B service is anything like the daytime bar service then it'll be top quality & good value for money. New management since Aug 2023 - landlady is very friendly and welcoming but also very accommodating. And...BREAKFAST IS BANGING!!!! Compliments to the Chef - couldn't fault our breakfast last week!
Stayed the night, room was clean and as described, staff were friendly and I'd happily stay again.
