It's a lovely pub friendly atmosphere, nice people.
Grim. Only one white wine available. No crisps available. And I don't mean none of a particular flavour, I mean none at all. Landlady explained that she doesn't like going to booker cash & carry, so I guess that's all right then (not). Half of pub closed off because they were cleaning it. The other half had no, zero, seats so we had to sit at the bar. No heating on. Decor from somewhere in the mid 80s, and not in a good way. They were hoovering the carpet with a hoover that desperately needed sanitizing. Filled the air with a breathtakingly strong smell of dog. When we left they were loudly discussing why we'd visited at all before we had even closed the door. I admit I'm really puzzled by all the positive reviews. We've not been to a pub this grim in decades. It reminded me of something out of The League of Gentlemen.
Honestly one of the most friendly pubs I have ever been to. Gina and Graham made us so welcome and such a great atmosphere for watching the England match. Thank you so much xxx
