Former bakery, now owned by the National Trust and run by the same family for 116 years, the current landlady has been there 30 years. The pub has two small bars plus an upstairs room, outside there is a large suntrap patio and garden. Two changing beers are served from local and regional breweries. At lunchtimes there is a choice of ploughman's or toasties. This rural gem is popular with walkers and cyclists, has won many local CAMRA awards and is listed in the National Inventory.

Great pub and area. If you play cricket higher up the road you definitely will like to visit the pub or even do the great walks around this area 👍
Traditional country 'front room pub' 2 small rooms inside,bigger one upstairs . Guest beers, nice toasted 🥪 minutes from Eye Bridge nature reserve. Parking a few yards away or on the road past the pub. Friendly landlady was running it alone when we visited. Open from noon usually. Be patient while waiting to be served
The Vine is a lovely place to go for a drink/lunch. A jewel in the crown at Pamphill which is very dog friendly. The garden is a great sun trap. Linda changes the beers quite often which is a bonus, always a nice surprise. Plough man's lunches are on the menu along with sandwiches and toasties which are lovely. Lunch opening times are 12.00-15.00. closed Mondays. Please be aware that cash only. Can get very busy on a sunny summers day or even on a nice winter's day.
