Our varied and well balanced menu changes regularly and is in season and the food always fresh. We aspire to serve delicious homemade dishes with locally sourced produce. Our atmosphere is relaxed with an eclectic interior. The Village Rest is casual enough for lunch or tea, and yet formal enough for special occasions.
A lovely place to rest after a walk. Delicious coffee, large selection of cakes and snacks. The owner printed out a map of paths and attractions around Luss, which helped us a lot on our trip.
Very tasty Bacon and cheese burger, brilliant chips and creamy coleslaw. All homemade, apparently, but certainly was good. Crispy chicken Caesar salad wrap. All very good and prices reasonable too. Busy on a warm Saturday afternoon though. Good range of food on the menu, not just burgers!
We had vegetarian chilli and fish chips. We have a little cute visitor (little bird) sitting next to us. The vegetarian chilli is quite good. Cappuccino is a bit bitter but I like it. They also have a few dessert options available. The park is just opposite to it. Quiet and nice area. Street parking available as well.
This was one of the few place still open late afternoon. We had drinks & cake. They had a fair amount of people coming in, but as not too busy though. Very friendly staff, but they do need training. The hot drinks were really not good. I think it must be a cheap coffee machine that they use. Luss is a beautiful village, so I will definitely be backā¦ but will then be sure to give some of the other restaurants a try.
Visiting luss for the day and enjoyed a cruise. So came here for some lunch. I had the fish and chips. The fish was nice. Mushy peas cold. The mac and cheese was not good didn't have a good taste which I pointed out to the waitress. And was told sorry you didn't like it. Was not eaten I tried it my self and wasn't nice had a smoke after taste. Didn't offer to replace it or refund. Total let down. Waitress was friendly can't fault the service
