What an amazing place and Alison goes all out to look after her guests, nothing is too much trouble. We are cycling Lands End to John O Groats and we couldn’t have been looked after better. Thank you.

Yes that is Haggis and Black Pudding and all the works! We received the most amazing Scottish welcome from Alison - thank you! Possibly the warmest welcome I have ever received from any hotel or pub all around the world! Be it a 5* hotel in the capital, or at my local, this is without doubt the most welcoming place I have ever stayed. Oh and the breakfast! The full Scottish with haggis, potato cake, black pudding and all the usual suspects was phenomenal! We only stayed the one night, but will be back soon :)

Very lovely stay at the village inn, the host was friendly and felt welcoming. The rooms where very spacious and clean and lastly the breakfast was brilliant with generous amounts, would definitely stay here again.

Arrived 16:00 as planned and requested met by Alison who booked us in and showed us to our room with no fuss. She explained where everything was and showed us around the gardens doors Our stay was made to feel like home from home. Breakfast was booked on arrival and was served on time as requested with no waiting. There was many choices but be careful none of it is small portions unless you request it. Room was comfortable and a good nights sleep without any traffic noise around the area.Thank You Alison for looking after us and being a super host, and thanks for all the tea bags and milk.

We stayed at The Village Inn and Kirtle House B&B on our way north to break up our journey. We stayed in the family room which was perfect, so much space for the whole family, including the dog. It was great to have full size single beds for the children. The room is recently renovated to a very high standard. Alison, the host, is great and provided the most amazing welcome. There was the full Scottish breakfast on offer and it well and truly lived up to expectations! Bonus points for the proper large mugs provided in the room and extra points for the Tunnocks Tea Cakes - always go down well! We will be back and hugely recommend a stay at The Village Inn and Kirtle House B&B.
