Impressive two bar Victorian pub on Marylebone station concourse with high ceilings and some decorative cornices
Both areas have armchair style seating and carpets. There are prints and old photos throughout. Behind each bar are mirrors with silhouettes of Victoria and Albert. The right hand bar also has large plain mirrors, natural light from windows at one end overlooking the street and two pool tables by the side of a gas effect fireplace. Entertainment is provided by two large screen televisions, on during major events, and for those with the gaming bug there are four machines. The left hand bar displays train times and has a more transient feel. Outside drinking areas on the concourse and at the front provide a place for people watching.
Hi Victoria & Albert staff This was first Pub I drank real ale in 1978 it was Greene king IPA it was great pint and today I was served superb pint of Youngs bitter when ever I am in the area after visiting Dad it’s time for couple of pints of real ale be for I go home to watford it’s such great bar to visit thanks for great quality of beer
Perfect place to relax before your train! I’ve also had a work zoom from the bar. Anil and Jiri made the place a perfect office for me with tasty drinks and coffee :)) And also brought me some water even without asking when they saw that I’m forced to be at the call for more than an hour. Thank you very much! It’s my favorite place in the area now!
Good place to eat and have a beer/cocktail in London. Only minus- there is no hangers for your coat
Got to marylebone station really early and noticed this bar. Staff were polite and I was served quickly. Prices were far more reasonable than I was expecting ( for a London pub based in a train station, I was pleasantly surprised). Didn't get a chance to eat, but again I'd say the food prices were reasonable. The bar itself is small, but very clean and the decor is in keeping with the era marylebone station was built. Glad I went in, certainly better than staring at a departure screen
One of the prettiest, iconic, listed London pubs, hidden away in Marylebone station. Superbly decorated inside with fireplace and murals. Exceptional British pub vibe. Plenty of comfortable seating couches inside. Lots of seating outside and within the station courtyard. Good seating outside on the roadside offering superb late summer moments. Offering drinks and food by polite and efficient staff. Although due for an upgrade, it is a must visit English pub for the ambiance alone.
