A warm welcome awaits you at this 17th century rural pub, set on the banks of the River Severn in Hampton Loade just outside Bridgnorth, Shropshire.
This traditional inn offers Good Food including Sunday Lunches, Bed & Breakfast and Shrophire Self Catering Holiday Lets.
The Caravan and Campsite offers plots for tents, caravans, campervans and motorhomes with electrical hookups.
For visitors, holiday makers, families and fishermen the secure caravan and campsite nestles on the banks of the River Severn, and is the perfect fisherman’s location for river fishing.
The pub and campsite is family friendly with a kids safe play area. Pets are welcome on the campsite and in the inn.
The Unicorn Inn is located just a few minutes walk from the Severn Valley Railway Station of Hampton Loade, a heritage steam railway that runs between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth. So even if you are not staying with us, it is an ideal stop off for a pint and some food during your train journey.
There is also a current and cable driven foot ferry that has run for some 400 years that carries pedestrians from one side of the River Severn to the other. Hampton Loades very name is derived from this as Loade or Lode is an old English word for ferry.

Great little pub, with a very welcoming landlord. Nice selection of ale, banks's on tap (excellent), and our food was very enjoyable pub fayre. Will definitely be back, recommend if you're looking for a pub along the Severn.
I am going to split this review into two sections : Day & night to be fair to the venue. Start of with the evening: This is meant to be a family friendly site and having an 11pm music curfew is crazy as I had my 8 year old nephew moaning and tired because the venue would allow music banging with the bass up load and people singing at the top the voice till 11pm. I reviewed this site before and saw a review from lynn two months ago and the venue asked us to ignore the review and look another person review instead.I gave the venue benefit of the doubt but wished I didn’t because unless was after 11pm they accepted this volume and singing as acceptable which it is not with kids who tend to go to sleep before 11pm. If you are happy to sleep after 11pm with kids then this place would suit yourself but I urge you if not then look elsewhere. Day: Staff in the pub was amazing and the food was incredible. The pitch was too small for my tent but even in bank holiday found me an alternative plot. I would not return to this site just because I value my sleep.
Wanted somewhere local (as had family over) for food. Heard that they had a new menu so booked for 11 of us. Meals where great and nicely priced. Highly recommend.
What a lovely camp site this is 👌 Had my first camping experience here recently and will definitely be returning. The camp site was clean, had a lovely park for the children to play on, toilets/showers were cleaned regular and always had toilet roll available. The staff were friendly and the bar area even had entertainment on the weekend. We had food on our last day, portions was great and food amazing! There was some noise/music from older groups without children but nothing we didn't expect and was always turned off or down come bed time so kids slept great 🙌 Definitely recommend. Thank you 😊
We have just spent an amazing weekend here. The site is clean and well maintained. The staff in the pub were excellent, a special shout out to the new chef who is excellent. The food was great, a real value for money. Everyone was so helpful and polite. It really is an excellent place to come and chill. Can not praies enough. We are all ready going to book our next stay. Thank you everyone at the Unicorn and can't wait to see you again. If you are looking for a peaceful and chilled retreat, this is a must.
