Victors is a newly refurbished pub, and part of a great company with both hotels and pubs within the portfolio.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, genuine, friendly person who strives to maintain and exceed expectations, along with delivering excellence in the running of our kitchen in the absence of our head chef.
You will be an integral member of the team to deliver high quality food to our valued customers in Victors.
Duties and useful skills -
- Place orders according to the menu specifications
- Lead and promote all aspects of the food and hygiene regulations to other chefs
- To be able to identified and restock low and best-selling produce to minimise the wastage of stock and the recording
- Lead the line and team in the absence of the head chef
- Able to stay calm when the pressure mounts
- Motivate the other chefs on shift and the training of the other chefs
- Coordinate with the general manager with the ordering of any stock that front of house may require
- Supervise and make sure that the companies standards are followed
- To assist junior staff members
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Sous Chef role
- Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- Knowledge of best cooking practices
