Massive Sunday lunch. Almost had to leave some of it. But I loosened my belt and carried on. Plus there's always room for dessert. They let me have cream *and* ice cream with my chocolate fudge cake.

Brilliant place! Hidden little gem. I didn't think they have any food for me but wow there was a whole range of gluten free food! Very impressed. Massive portions and beautiful tasting too!

Love this family pub on the north Riverside. Out of the way, small car park but plenty of street parking. Always busy. Amazing food at amazing prices. Love the Sunday lunches - huge portions I have also been through the week for the main menu. The service is friendly, polite and helpful to give to give recommendations. I never feel rushed even on a busy Sunday.

My friends in Sunderland hosted a Sunday lunch for my wife and I when we came up for a weekend visit from London. It was a unique experience just to eat in a 300 year old building that had a rich history of the part it played for the shipbuilding and related industry on the River Wear that Sunderland was once globally famous for. The service was excellent. The traditional Sunday lunch was roast beef and Yorkshire pudding. The serving was huge and generous. Probably large enough for 3 adults. I had mushroom soup to start with. It was very well home made.
