A gem of a pub, steeped in local history and defiantly old fashioned. While the rest of Tynemouth tries hard to be quirky, sanatised and modern, the Turks Head is a breath of fresh air. It boasts a great beer selection, lovely staff and a proper atmosphere. In my eyes the Stuffed Dog is arguably the best pub on Front Street.

We didn't have food so that can't be rated but if you're looking for a proper traditional pub the Turks Head (Stuffed Dog) is the place to go. The pub was nicely decorated for Christmas with the fires burning and we had only intended staying for one but stayed there for three. Warm, good choice of drinks and prompt service.

Lovely old pub full of character. The staff are friendly. Will definitely be back. Nice to see the ask for Angela in the toilets

Friendly and welcoming chap behind the bar , made us a super coffee . Warm and friendly atmosphere, dog friendly- which is always a +plus . Well worth a visit .

Decent pub in the heart of Tynemouth. Great place to catch the sun of an evening and the food isn’t bad either. Good beer, good food and sun if it’s out, well I would head to this pub then! Picture is on the hunters chicken sandwich. Bit thick with the sauce and actually friend had a burger, which I should of got.
