Me and my boyfriend had dinner in this lovely pub. We had the bacon cheese burger and fish & chips. It was a lovely dinner, very delicious and the waitress was lovely. We had a chat with the owner who was very nice and welcoming. We will definitely be back.
Went out for a drive and came across the Trooper Inn. Had a lovely lunch of home made steak and ale pie and chips and a pint of guiness. The misses had a big portion of battered calamari and chips. The staff were lovely, will definitely be comming back for a roast dinner soon as that looked great too! ☆☆☆☆☆
We, 3 adults and 5 children aged 3-10, popped in for lunch on Saturday. We had a lovely meal and the gentleman serving us was very friendly and great with the kids. If we are ever in the area again, we would certainly pop in again.
Our second time visiting and can definitely say that this pub is an excellent find. The Sunday Lunch is truly delicious and the chef definitely knows how to a roast beef joint! The potatoes are also good, they are generous with the gravy and the fresh hot seasonal vegetables to share are perfectly cooked. The gentleman serving at the bar is charming and the young lad doing the waiting is clearly following in his footsteps. We'll be back!
Outstanding pub with rooms. Excellent staff and service. We had some unusual requests and all were addressed quickly, easily and without fuss. One of the best pubs I’ve stayed in. It isn’t fancy or pretentious. It’s a great place to stay when enroute somewhere and you need some courtesy and comfort.

Known by locals as 'the pub with no name', you won't find too much signage at The White Horse in Petersfield. What you will find though, is top notch real ale, great food and all the character charm you'd expect from a historic 17th century pub.
