Had to wait to be seated despite us booking a table. Long queue for carvery. Ran out of beef, chef went in kitchen and said none was available so had to have end pieces of beef that was left and other meat that I didn't want. Had to ask for some of the side dishes as they were empty and not been refilled. Spoons were red hot whilst food was only luke warm. Not much gravy in pots.
Lost a star because of the coffee! The food is good and we were greeted again by Sonia i(have been here many times) She is constantly cheerful, helpful and friendly and great credit to Toby Carvery. The coffee is dreadful though. I don’t drink tea but I can’t drink the filter coffee. My son describes it as it tastes like it’s been strained through a used sock 🤣
Been coming here for over ten years Anita always great. Today was the first time I was disappointed. Plate wasn’t heated so had a nice cold carvery. No sausages with the king size, and was promised a waiter would bring them in a couple of minutes but none arrived, so basically paid extra for a large cold plate. Meat was mainly fat and couldn’t manage to provide a pot of tea. As I was taking people out to lunch was a bit embarrassing. Hope they have their act back together next time I go
Great family friendly atmosphere, we were well looked after by Sonia and the team. Breakfast was lovely and service was fantastic!
My little one dropped his plate just after being served. The staff were so friendly and helpful they put his mind at rest straight away and replaced his meal. Even the customers offered us to skip the queue to get him served again. Lovely atmosphere and very helpful staff. I couldn't even finish my meal and that says a lot. Highly recommended.
