Alehouse which relocated from 5 Charlotte Street on 5th May 2017 into more spacious street corner premises. Plans to build Broadstairs Town Brewery in the basement are well advanced. 8 handpumps and 10 keg beer taps. There is a bar billiards table upstairs and regular live music here.
Since this place has been under new management, its a real delight. Me and my partner had a lazy Saturday afternoon drink here. Great selection of beer and cider - love the strawberry beer! And a really good selection of wines, courtesy of the new management owning the best wine shop in town. Highly recommend if you feel like a pub drink with quality drinks
Anyone with experience and love of the Craft Beer Co. pubs in London will be at home here. 20+ keg taps and maybe 8 (?) cask lines although some of these are real cider. Very relaxing on a sunny Saturday afternoon. One gents toilet with no urinal makes count as a micropub 🙂
Fantastic bar, great selection of well kept ales and craft beers. Including a number of local options. So good we came back the following night! Also serving wine and spirits (although we didn’t order these)
Sad it is not my local! On a short stay in Broadstairs, they made me feel so welcomed. Character, atmosphere, the greatest bartender, interesting wine list. Go, go, go!
New owners have made this already lovely/cosy venue into a real beer mecca. Never seen the variety and quality on offer outside of London. Fantastic selection. Wine list also very good. Could not recommend highly enough! Gets busy around 5 but ample seating if you can squeeze in before the rush!
