The Ten Tun Tap House is an independent bar specialising in amazing beer and cider from independent producers. We have 9 keg taps, 4 cask pumps and a can fridge (in addition to quality wines, spirits and soft drinks).
From one week to the next the beers will change, with the idea being to explore new styles and interpretations of beer.
Being an independent is a huge benefit for both you and us. Firstly, we don't have a brewery/pub co telling us what to do and buy. We can source whatever we want from wherever we want, and the environment is our own - not a pre-fabricated stale bore of a venue.
We play the music we like and have a bit of fun with being a pub. Because that's what this should be - a fun experience and a place to forget the stresses of life.

Best bar/Pub in Alton by a mile. The beer is always excellent, the selection is great. Even things like the snacks and crisps are great, well priced and locally sourced.
Local craft beer house perfection. We stopped in here on a recent drive home and discovered this absolute gem. It's just the right size, had a great range of beers (very hard to pick my first pint from all three tasters I had..), has supremely friendly (but cool) staff with really friendly locals too. Pretty much the only place to be on a Sunday in Alton!
A great bar, fab selection of drinks and top class music playing (speakers). Only ate peanuts hence the food rating 😂 apparently food from Dill is great quality also. Looking forward to sampling their brewery ales next week. A must visit if you love a tap house 🍻
Decent craft bar in Alton. Good selection of beers in cask, keg and fridges. Bigger than usual tap houses and plenty of seating in and out.
This place is such a welcome addition to Alton! They have a great beer selection which is always changing, larger, IPA, Stout, Sour, you name it, you’re bound to find something you like! There are bar snacks available or you can order form local takeaway places to be delivered if you want to eat. There is outdoor seating for when the weather is good and they have also extended the indoor seating as well! Stop reading the reviews and go and get yourself a pint!
