Short walk from the canal lovely atmosphere ambience food wine . The fellow that served us I presume the owner was very efficient and professional . He has done a lot of Research it wines and food and it shows . We are visiting from Australia and come over most years and this would have to be our favourite pub of all the ones we have been to .Dog friendly and a lovely church worth a look across the road . Do yourself a favour and do a road trip
Food was very nice, pub didn’t look like a pub from the front as there was no signage? Short walk from the camp site was worth it. Drink was a little expensive, red wine £8.40 a large glass
Friendly and inviting staff make the experience all the more pleasant. Good menu with food served promptly and piping hot. Splendid selection of beers on tap and a varied range of wines and spirits also available. All moderately priced. Ample parking and free WiFi. Oh and very dog friendly!
This English Pub Is modern, inviting and filled with paintings photos memorabilia and books making it stand apart from other pubs. The food is tasteful, and offers selected items. Not the usual run of the mill cuisine. Besides, it also serves vegan, gluten free options too. Above all, it’s dog friendly!! And don’t forget it’s a Pub, so the drinks are all that you would wish for! The ambience is warm and friendly. The staff are polite courteous and accommodating too. They created a combo for me (not on their menu), knowing I was a tourist! Left a good feeling in me!! Do visit it! You’ll love the ambience !
Just visited the Swan for the first time. What an outstanding experience: great setting and decor, great ambiance, superb food and very attentive service without being overbearing. Great French wine sourced and blended by the Swan itself. Tables not crammed together like many places. Roaring fire. We shared starters, mixed a main with a cheese plate, then sorbet and port. Do what you like and take your time. Customer is king - how often does that happen these days? I have hunted and eaten a lot of game birds over the years but pheasant scotch egg and pheasant tandoori were firsts for us and they were sensational. We could not have asked for more. We have eaten in one Michelin star restaurants and not had as good a time. Prices are absolutely not expensive for the quality of the food. An outstanding British country pub with great food - very hard to find these days.
