A classic community local and the brewery tap for Thurstons Brewery, just two doors down the High Street.
Three hand pumps are reserved for Thurstons. The other three serve beers from other local breweries and a few from further afield. The weekly quiz night is on Wednesday and the TV is turned on for sporting events, especially rugby. An annual beer festival, is held in late May. The garden is well set back from the road and has two petanque pistes.
Old school boozer. With all the charm and warmth that suggests. Fine for what it is, but better pubs are very nearby.
Great pub for a beer! Lots of real ale on tap, friendly bar staff, cozy fire going, proper pub. We had a dog with us and they brought her a bowl of water and even directed us to a table once it had freed up.
Our favourite pub when we want a drink and a catch up with friends. Always a great atmosphere and we thoroughly enjoy a fancy dress or a film evening, like the recent Wickerman event with burning effigy in the garden. Looking forward to New Year Eve celebrations
What a great local pub! It has its own local brewery and great atmosphere! We just discovered it recently but definitely will come back often!
Saturday lunchtime on the way to a football match in Woking. Very pleasant welcome from friendly bar staff. The brewery tap for Thurston's Brewery so they had four of their real ales on with a couple of guest ales. I had all the Thurston's beers and they were brilliant.

We wanted a smart community pub with great fresh food where eaters and drinkers alike are looked after with the same friendly and professional service.
