I thought this was a good pub. The table we had was cosy and I didn't mind it slightly crammed in a corner by the fireplace but having the fire going would have made it perfect. I liked the selection of food and my pork belly was very nice. I would have liked it a little warmer though. Service was good. It was a busy time of the season so understand the wait at times. I would definitely come back, probably not just before Christmas but more likely in the summer. It looked like the pub has nice outdoor seating.
We come here almost weekly. We love the atmosphere and the recent refurb is beautiful. We especially love the Diablo pizza and there’s a big gin selection! Staff are lovely, the service is amazing and we enjoy our meals here with the children and our meals out with friends. 10/10!
Very nice location .. I loved the new interior design and decorations The food was OK,service was very low, but the staff was definitely friendly and warm.
This is the first time we have visited The Oatlands Chaser for food since the refurbishment. What an improvement! The decor is tasteful and we really like the hunting theme. We also like the upholstery - it looks far more luxurious, matching and inviting. The atmosphere is both warm and welcoming. We also think the standard of the food has improved. The menu is the same but presentation was very good. Excellent fish and duck. we tried the trio of cheesecake but wouldn’t recommend if you like proper traditional cheesecake and we felt for the Christmas season a ginger based cheesecake would work better. The service however couldn’t be faulted. It was speedy and the staff were especially friendly considering it was the end of a busy weekend. In particular Joel found time to speak to us and he was especially helpful and friendly. Thank you.
Lovely pub, I think I liked the food the most. The chips were to die for. Halalumi sticks, pasta....all yummy. The salad I had was nice and fresh and crunchy. The outside space is lovely. Nice little corners indoors for semi privacy. I will certainly visit again. Good job guys.
