About us

Welcome to the Plough Inn

A vibrant local pub situated on West Street, Farnham, the Plough Inn prides itself on fine ales, great food and a fantastic line-up of live music.

Bands and artists perform here every Friday and Saturday night, making it the perfect place for a weekend social, while there’s a jam night every Wednesday to provide music lovers with a midweek fix and a range of game night activities on a Thursday to keep the week vibrant!

Even when the volume is turned down a notch, there are plenty of reasons to make the Plough your local. There’s a beautiful fireplace to help overcome those winter chills, and a gorgeous garden to spend the sweltering hot summer evenings along with an excellent selection of real ale, wines and spirits! Not to forget our glorious range of cocktails and coffees.

There’s good honest pub food available too, served from Wednesday to Sunday. Homemade burgers of all shapes and sizes and a scrumptious Sunday roast are among the culinary highlights of our week. Keep an eye out for our scrumptious specials and in the summer our staycation menus!

It all awaits in the heart of Farnham's town centre, within a stone's throw of the 12th century church and the famous Farnham castle. So whether you live and work locally, study at the University of Creative Arts or are just in town for the day, The Plough promises a warm welcome for all… including well-behaved dogs!.

Visited the Plough today ,around 5.30pm with my wife and son , the bar was empty and the lady behind the bar was engrossed in a moaning session with a customer . I stood less than a foot away from her listening for a few minutes and it was clear I was not going to be spoken to , my wife came up to the bar and said lets go somewhere else please ... we left and looked around to see the lady walk off away from the bar into a back area ...she was not even aware of us ! We went to a Cafe Piccolo a few doors down and had few beers and snacks there .... they were a much better choice as the staff were friendly and pleased to see us .

Enjoyed the live rock music. Busy atmosphere. I was on my own and met some friendly Rockers x ...back today!early monday evening. Lots of jobs to do on my phone so popped in here for coffee and wifi...did not realise I've been here before!!! Had the Hungry Boys burger and it was superb 😋 especially as I haven't eaten much since my traffic collision 3 weeks ago. I ll be back. For more good music and food asap

A pretty good pub by Farnham standards that often has live music on. They have Hungry Boys food, which is generally good and offers burgers and fries at a decent price. The pub gets quite lively and has a nice big garden for the warmer months. The beer selection needs a bit of a refresh, particularly on the ale front which is quite basic Shepherd Neame gear. Wasn’t sure about the giant husky dog roaming free here though. All in all a solid if not spectacular pub.
