About us

It is a beautifully timber framed building with a large inglenook fireplace set on the village green in the heart of the village. We have been here for 8 years, and have recently changed the name to The Gardners. Previously named after a squire, now named after peasants ie us!.

Lovely setting. We cycled there for Sunday roast. It was recommended to us and we were satisfied. Not 5 star but definitely worth a visit.

What a great find....lovely pub stopover in the camper in car park, lovely people, very friendly and welcoming - staff and customers. Great meals, standard pricing around £10/13 a head, very decent portions. Camembert cheese starter, ploughman's and a triple burger were wonderful. A little disappointed with choc crunch on special board as not chocolatey or crunchy but overall a fab place to stay for meal and drinks. We'd visit again!!

Great pub with good food and friendly staff We had steak on a stone where you cook your own steak to your taste. Good fun too.
