About us

We serve traditional, delicious pub menu with a contemporary twist. Depending on how hungry you are you can choose from a range of sandwiches, burgers or mains including pub favourites plus grazing and sharing plates for great casual dining. The Kings Arms is a perfect spot for a working lunch during the week or a lazy lunch at weekends, we are close to all the main shops and welcome weary shoppers or those wishing to ‘rest’ while others shop! We are proud of the provenance of our food and source our ingredients from local suppliers and if you have a food allergy or intolerance please let us know and we will do our best to help.

Choose from a selection of 5 cask ales, craft beers both bottled and draft, lager and cider on tap and also a selection of more unusual bottled ciders and craft beers. We have a great selection of wines and spirits too with over 12 different gins and 15 rums served with a range of fever tree tonics and madagascan cola. We have an extensive whisky bar too so there is something for everyone to choose from.

I can't recommend any of the food as I usually go pre drinking here, and haven't tried it , but the service is always friendly and quick. Even on nights such as New Year's and clubbing nights ! A great place to catch up with friends, and there's alot of space for everyone, especially outside if you're with a big group !!

Looking at the reviews I think there are new staff as they were all really helpful and friendly. We went in lunch time New years eve, recieved a nice welcome as did our dog, the place was clean and nicely decorated and had a nice atmosphere. There is a huge range of beers and a nice food menu, the food took a bit longer than we would usually expect to arrive but it was clearly fresh and really tasty.

It seems older negative reviews relate to previous ownership. Service was good and food hot and tasty. Much nicer atmosphere than the chaos around The Arc.

Dropped in for lunch today instead to try somewhere different to usual. Service was excellent, food was hot fresh and delicious and very well priced for what was received. We will definitely return and recommending to family and friends

Lovely fresh vibe with really quick service of food and drink. Big range of beers/Ales, ciders wine and soft drinks. Food was excellent at such a great price!.
