Had a delicious meal here, service is faultless, great ambience and decor. Menu is small but well put together. I had the trout starter and chicken main. Both very good, the trout starter was exceptional, interesting combination of flavours. I had tiramisu for dessert but found it too big and too creamy for my taste. In fact I would say the pudding menu although fine lacked some of the sophistication of the starters and mains. Very extensive wine list, well ordered. All in all a lovely meal.

Really nice experience. Staff were brilliant, accommodation great. We stayed the night before a local marathon, and we were kindly allowed breakfast early as a special request. What an excellent service we received 👌😁 Thank you weeping willow team.

Gorgeous pub. Ample parking. Lovely staff - pleasant and attentive without being intrusive. The food. Overall, it’s 7.5/10 for me. There were some dishes that weren’t for me. Mac and cheese was too salty. And the tiramisu was a bit disappointing because the ladyfingers were substituted with what tastes and looks like undercooked cake dough. So the texture was a bit strange. Like other customers, I thought we had been served a plate of radicchio - but there were four small thin slices of duck breast underneath. It was cooked perfectly, but underwhelming in flavour. Chips were good. Short rib was very tender - the meat fell apart. Onion ring batter was ever so light. The soup was very refreshing. I had to add a bit of pepper and salt - but that’s more my personal taste. Sourdough bread, fresh and delicious. Sticky toffee pudding was great. We had a lovely time. It’s very popular as tables filled up quickly. We would visit again as there are other items on the menu I’d love to try.

We found the staff exceptionally friendly and engaging, we had an evening meal the food was very good, disappointed with the garden pea portion but this was rectified to our satisfaction, our breakfast experience was very good on all levels. We enjoyed the lodge and the hot tub. We had an issue with the cleanliness of our bathroom on arrival, it was reported to a staff member who told us a manager would come and see us, that didn’t happen! We passed on a message to our breakfast server on departure that we would like a manager to call us. We did receive a call later that day and the matter was dealt with satisfactorily, we also passed on comments regarding another housekeeping issue we were not entirely happy with, this was the house keeper servicing our room whilst we were having breakfast, we returned to find them in our lodge, this felt very invasive to us. We both agreed that overall our experience was such that we would return and we would recommend the weeping willow to friends and family. This place is very dog friendly and has some nice cosy nooks and a real fire. Veg/ Vegan friendly

We regularly eat at the sweeping Willow because whilst it is at the top end of what we pay for a meal when we go out, we love the food and the way that it’s presented, the friendly staff and the general atmosphere there. However we prefer going at quieter times of the year as there is a visible difference to the food and the way that it’s presented during busier times such as the Christmas period. The charcuterie was not on a board, but piled on a plate with not sourdough as normal, but other bread. The ducks breast starter was simply covered in radicchio rather than presented prettily and at first we thought it was just a pile of leaves! When taking the order, we were not asked if we wished to order any extra side dishes… you missed a trick there! We appreciate the time of year, however we do not and should not experience a dip in the normal excellence given that we are paying £150 + for the experience!
