We had a bit of a strange experience here. The positives are that the food was good and there were loads of vegan and vegetarian options. When I asked about gluten free options (there being nothing obvious on the menu I got the reply that the potato skin starter was the only option. We were about to leave when I noticed steak on the specials board. Yes they could do that without onion rings which was great. They then served it with onion rings! After an apology they took the rings away. As the server left I asked if they had any mustard? "I don't think so but I'll check". Sadly I did not see him again until after the meal. Other tables had baskets of condiments I later noted. Then as we were finishing our meal someone added gammon steak to the specials. No doubt gluten free. I have given them the benefit of the doubt with three stars , but if you are on a gf diet it is best avoided. Oh, and there was an aggressive gsd making life difficult for anyone else who had a dog. The customers fault, not the dogs and the landlord did not know what to do . I downgraded to two stars when the response showed that they had clearly not read the review suggesting they will not address the issues.

Poor experience. Virtually empty pub when we visited with the a limited menu and after nearly an hour waiting for our food, asked where it was, only to be told that the kitchen didn’t have a ticket. Food arrived 5 minutes after informing them, which says a lot as the portions are tiny and most probably microwaved. Paid £55 for 2 bacon and cheese burgers (without bacon as they had run out!) and 2 sausage and mash and would have got better value from McDonalds.

Lovely place to chill out, staffs are lovely, thank you Vicky for the good service with a lovely smile 😊 I highly recommend this place. Check out in their website for food and drinks details. The burger 🍔 were tasty and in good presentation. Clean rest room, it’s Great pub decoration, and have access to the canal and boat resto.
