Now a free house with bar, lounge and function room where live music is played, this former railway hotel once served passengers and staff from the station some 200 yards up the road.
Beer range here varies though normally a single best or premium bitter occasionally a second cask choice is provided. Acoustic music is played every Thursday and there is a live band on Saturdays. No need to hurry for the train as the passenger service was withdrawn in 1960 today the only trains on the reopened line carry potash from the nearby Boulby mine.
Best most welcoming pub ever
Great pub, Old fashioned. And nice old vintage bathroom and 19,80s PHS hand dryer!
This is a smashing community pub that welcomes visitors and locals alike. Tremendous drinks offers, with the best value double up offer around. It is well managed by Dave, who puts the punters first, and treats bands really well. He has a great in house PA sized for the room, so it's a treat for bands with no lugging of bass bins, lights or speaker tops. It's a really friendly pub, who appreciate their love music. The Station Hotel in Loftus is well worth a visit for a Saturday night out! If Carlsberg made music pubs...
Staff are amazing. A selection of hand pulls from £3, Staropramen is £3.80 a pint, Carling only £2.95 a pint. Spirit measures are 35ml, double up for a pound. Can't go wrong
My favourite pub in England. Good beer. Friendliest people ever. Totally unique. Music great. I always leave feeling loved.
