We hired the room for a Wake. They couldn't have been more helpful. We felt really looked after at a difficult time. We had a buffet delivered and they ensured there was someone there to receive it so we had nothing to worry about on the day. Thank you.

Never again!! I had my daughters 1’st birthday party here yesterday. I also had her christening party back in June, it was an amazing experience which made me want to come back for her birthday party… how I wish I didn’t!! First of all, after watching the party company set a toddler bouncy castle up they then came out and told us to take it down because they (Grangemoor) don’t have insurance for, even though the party company had their own insurance. Next, the speaker didn’t work meaning we couldn’t play any music. I wouldn’t mind but we’ve had this party booked for months, the least they could have done is made sure the speaker was set up ready to go… they didn’t have to do a single other thing! We provided our own food, our own music, our own entertainment they literally just had to make sure the speaker was set up, absolute shambles! My dad had to leave the party, drive back to Norton to get a portable speaker and come back. The least they could have done was phone us before the party started to tell us they can’t work the speaker so we could have sorted one ourselves. None of them knew what they were doing but we’re also so brazen to it almost as though they didn’t actually really care. Lastly, we emptied the room and got it back to looking normal again, when we were about to walk out of the door they had the cheek to come out and tell us we need to hoover the room first before leaving! Is that a joke?! I have never EVER been somewhere before where they ask you to hoover the floor, even at my daughters christening we didn’t have to hoover after so I don’t know why we had to this time? The room was Completley emptied by us, the only thing they had to do was go round and clean the tables down and hoover…. And then when we asked for our £100 deposit back they had the cheek to tell us we have to wait 48 hours. After hearing is complain to each other about the experience, Grace Bishop (member of staff) then came out with a really poor attitude telling us she’ll give us the deposit back now AND RIGHTLY SO!! We bloody hoovered the place for them!! Absolutely lazy! Such a horrible experience, I will never ever go there again.

In response to Mandi from previous review - Granted about the bouncy castle upon reading the terms and conditions, correct it does state no bouncy castles so I do apologise for that HOWEVER, I am fully aware I paid £10 an hour for the room and that was included in the previous review so not sure what you’re implying there if you could please elaborate? I never stated you offer catering either, so again please elaborate. For the “electrical work” that was done, that is not my problem unfortunately. You have been aware for months I had booked and paid to have this party so as for the staff being under pressure and the speaker being off, this should have been sorted prior to the party and England game so this clearly is a management issues. More staff needed and more organisation, now your staff are left to get the brunt of it because you’re disorganised. As for me being rude I have to say that one made me laugh for real. I too was under stress, trying to cater a party for over 60 people with a silent awkward room because your venue wasn’t prepared, I wasn’t rude at all, in fact I had my dad and my fiancé both on a chair attempting to help said member of staff fix the speaker, I think there’s a bit of miscommunication there? I didn’t think trying to help would come across rude… As per the terms and conditions, it does state the room should be left how it is found and that’s how it was, to be asked to hoover was a joke. What were we exactly hoovering? It states in the terms and conditions “please ask bar staff for the use of the vacuum if required” and it wasn’t required, we were still cleaning and there were some balloons on the floor which were in the process of being picked up, the attitude from said member of staff in regards to hoovering was the main issue and to be quite honest, it was embarrassing. I never once stated it was your mess to clear, the complaint was in regards to the hoovering when it didn’t need doing, as I said it was in the state we had found it upon entering apart from the balloons that were being tended too. You’ve just stated yourself you have CLEANERS come in! Please tell me why I’m doing their job?? As for 48 hours waiting for the deposit back, please show me where in the t&c’s it states that? It states it is refundable, no where does it state we have to wait 48 hours… especially when it was paid in cash. It’s a shame we have to do this over Google reviews, I had a bad experience and so I’m leaving a bad review, I think your response speaks for itself and proves exactly what I complained about to be correct. Poor management skills, not enough staff (both stated by the manager on previous review), poor attitude, unorganised, unprofessional I strongly advice everyone KEEP AWAY!
