Great place to watch the football and a good pint there.
Great auld spot. Full of friendly staff and customers
Really good to see the Irish and the English coming together to celebrate St George's day once again this year with the banner out front
Few of the Was quick to throw out two disable men, and was quick to call tgem a tramp. Hearts of some of the members were cold and like stone. Be careful of some of your "so call" respectable neighbours in south harrow
Used to go here as a kid. It was also known as Room 13- but I don't know why. I played football for Room 13 and 2 of my mates played for St Gabriel's ( also affectionately known as St.Gabs!) There was a youth club attached to it for waifs and strays and i joined at 14. On friday night's there was disco and plenty of dancing and laughter. I learnt alot from the older members including my sister Collette. We formed a dance troupe to battle other dance troupes around London at venues like Hammersmith Palace. ... well it was the 70's!!😁 We used put shows on and dinner functions. Our youth leaders were chefs and they always got us involved in cooking or serving diners. Later in life some of us got involved in catering and in the entertainment industry. All owed to St.Gabs youth club. It was a great place and I was so glad to get to know so many great people but our youth leaders Jerry , Pat and Ian were the foundation of it all. It wasn't a separate bar before but was next door to the church for years! Great days.
