Very tasty and good sized portions. The home made onion rings were great.
Family of 6 called in and we had a lovely meal at good value and surprisingly large portions. Will be happy to return during our stay in the area. Thank you to all the staff both out front and in the kitchen.
The staff were friendly and our waitress was excellent. In hindsight, it was telling that the staff we saw eating on their break was having a bowl of chips. The fries we had were excellent, crispy, soft and salty. Unfortunately, the rest of our food was wholly disappointing. The pasta was dry and had clumped together in the pan. The pizzas had soft bases and too much tomato and cheese - they certainly didn't live up to their 'stonebaked' label, or the price tag.
Service at this family run local pub was great, and it seemed like a number of the nearby residents are very happy to have it as their ‘local’. Unfortunately, we were hoping the food from the Monday ‘Curry Night’ menu would have a bit more flavour. The meals were well priced, and very generously sized.
The only pub closest to the Clowance Estate. If u love your steaks, this is the place to walk to.We walked in with no reservations and luckily got a table despite them being fully booked. Yes, reservations are always essential here in Cornwall. as if we did not know that already. We were not disappointed. They sure know how to serve their steaks. Also the service, the staff , credit to them. They are an excellent dram team. God. They work so well to look after everyone.
