The Sportsman is situated in the heart of the local community in Bedford. The hub of the local community offering a good range of pub games including pool, darts and dominoes. Satellite TV showing a variety of sporting events and a game of bingo on a Wednesday afternoon attracts a variety of ages. Lovely outside seating and decked smoking shelter to the side of the pub.

Super friendly staff and a pretty welcoming pub. There’s a small amount of seating outside, but overlooking the carpark doesn’t make it the most relaxing of spaces, With plenty of screens inside though it’s the perfect spot to catch up with sport and I’d happily visit again.

Real pub no frills just good pub with community spirit,had family celebration as granddaughter &family got a house and she starts a new job Monday so most of family together what a afternoon left it to the younger ones.
Two separate bars (one typically louder than the other) and beer garden out the back. Beer lines kept nice and clean. Landlady is really friendly and welcoming and love the two dogs Bella and Baxter. Only one of few pubs left with darts board, pool table and sky/bt sports. Locals are characters and sometimes a little bit loud on weekend but that's to be expected :) Has live music or DJ most weekends but quiet during the week for a good game of cards. No food but chippy over the road.
