Went here Saturday 27th jan for food and drinks with the Mrs. I had chick n mix and got food poisoning it’s now Monday n I still feel unwell after losing a day wage already. If I still feel unwell Tuesday I will b returning n demanding some sort of compensation. I won’t be eating there ever again.

Cheap local pub with OK wine and good atmosphere. We tried the food once and would never eat there again but some people love eating there. Pub is very tired and tatty but staff are friendly and service is good.

Good food and even better prices! A cosy atmosphere where dogs are very welcome. It was very charming with all the Christmas decorations! We will come back!

The Little Mester is an nice local pub owned by the Green King group. Located in Anston 10mins from M1 J31. They serve a variety of ales and lagers and serve your standard pub food served throughout the day. Only pub in the area still running a football team, pool table, and Dart board are on site and the beer garden is a good seating area outdoor. Some of the seating indoors is well worn and could do with a revamp. Nice and clean inside but the blinds were drawn on this visit making it look dark and unwelcoming inside. Staff were well presented, pleasant and polite. Games night on Mondays, quiz on Tuesday. Gin cocktails and coffee is also served here. Toilets are modern and fresh looking although on this visit the lighting was dim giving a seedy atmosphere and very unwelcoming smells. Amazing food, absolutely amazing food Honestly if you get a chance to eat here i couldn't recommend enough It's clean, really friendly staff who are tentative but not overly Prices are very good for quality and quantity of food and did i mention the food tastes sooooo good The staff where also very good with checking with the kitchen staff for allergy information that wasnt listed on the allergy information they had I had the the roast chicken and southern fried chicken skewers with the chips, galic bread and sweet chilli sauce The chicken was so tender and delicious I also shared some of the garlic mushrooms which were really good, the whole meal had me very happy from the first bite
